Continuously improving the quality, environmental, health and safety management of our operations, IMSE is committed to the secure processing of electronic waste throughout the recycling chain.
IMSE is environmentally committed to: the prevention of pollution via the evaluation of materials and resources for operations; the reduction of waste and waste transfer from one environmental medium to another; and conducting downstream due diligence for all materials of concern/focus materials.
IMSE is committed to the health and safety of our operations by preventing injury and illness, appropriate training and supervision, and minimizing risk by using appropriate controls for all workers, visitors, and customers.
IMSE is committed to the continual improvement of our quality, environmental, health and safety (QEHS) management system via: utilizing a plan, do, check, act (PDCA) cycle; monitoring and measuring our activities, products and services; cultivating a work environment focused on QEHS commitments; implementing objectives and targets geared to improve operations; and welcoming the suggestions of workers, visitors, and customers. In the event of nonconformities, accidents, or incidents, the management system has response and corrective programs to minimize the impact to operations and prevent reoccurrence in the future.
IMSE shall provide adequate personnel, organization, financial, educational, training, communication, and technological support to implement, maintain, and improve our QEHS policy and corresponding management system. These resources shall communicate our policy to the community and implement the management system throughout the organization.
IMSE shall conduct business in observance of all applicable laws and regulations, in observance of all contractual agreements with customers, in compliance with the Electronic Industry Code of Conduct (EICC), and in compliance with other requirements accepted by management.
The QEHS policy and corresponding management system applies to all persons working for or on behalf of IMSE. Since IMSE does not have authority over services performed by the landlord or The IMS Group, these entities are not controlled by the policy and corresponding management system.
